On Fire Missions

We need a deliberate direction to aggressively Set the World on Fire with God's Transforming Love and win the World for Christ. We are now present in 122 countries and there is a great need to reach out to these existing territories, reestablish lost mission areas, and start up new countries. In the Philippines, there is also a need to reach out to the provinces to support the CFC communities and build lasting relationships. CFC is formed as a missionary community of families in the Holy Spirit renewing the face of the earth. Many are willing to go to the ends of the earth and bring the fire of God's Spirit to all peoples, even if it means to offer time and resources. We embrace God's commission to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations... (Mt 28:19)."

What is ON FIRE MISSIONS?

ON FIRE MISSIONS is a program offered to CFC leaders and members who are willing to go on short or long term mission trips to spread and strengthen the life and mission of CFC worldwide. They are sent as Mission-Ready teams to areas in need of support and sustenance.

A. Mission Goals

Our goals are:

• to visit countries and Philippine provinces with CFC who are in the Establishment Phase (phase 1 of development) or Enrichment phase (phase 2)
• Re-establish CFC in lost territories
• Start up CFC in new territories.

B. Who can join ON FIRE MISSIONS?

To be part of ON FIRE MISSIONS one must be:

• Willing to spend or fund raise for his/her mission.
• Available for 5 days - 2 weeks mission
• Undergo ON FIRE MISSIONS Training
• Recommended by area's top leader and his/her household head.

C. Leadership

For each mission-ready team, there will be Couple team leaders. They will be referred as MR Team Leaders. They are to attend meetings called on by the Evangelization and Missions head of the area or the International Missions Coordinator. They are under the oversight of the area’s top leader.

D. Composition

The Mission-Ready team is composed of the following:

• 6-12 people • Team members from the Mission sending area.
• Sustainability team from a nearby CFC Country/Area Mission Center
• Family Ministries representatives

E. Send Off Ceremony

Prior to leaving, the Evangelization & Mission Office will organize a send-off of missionaries with Holy Mass and Rallying talk for the MR Teams.

CFC is God's army and we are going where He commands us to be sent. I will go! Send me! (Isaiah 6:8). We will march with the zeal for evangelization and the desire to spread God's word. There are 196 countries in the world and we will blaze the trail to areas where we dare build the life and mission of Couples for Christ. With Mother Mary as our intercessor, we will be ON FIRE to win the world for Christ!
