The HOLD ministry has a three-fold mission: personal transformation, evangelization to bring her family and others, especially women, to a renewed life in the Lord, and wholehearted service to bring glad tidings to the poor. HOLD has become an instrument for the empowerment of women so that they can face challenges and trials with their Godgiven dignity as well as serve as leaders in the HOLD community. The HOLD leadership has consistently followed CFC directions and programs, integrating them into the HOLD plans and activities.
Apart from the usual Christian Life Programs and regular teaching tracks, special teachings have been developed for single parents, widows, senior members and migrant workers. The Zipporah Saturday (ZipSat) program was conceived to be a series of half day experiential training sessions to equip the leaders to be more effective and better servants. The HOLD Icon and HOLD Marian Conference are rich in creative ways of presenting the pastoral talks to make them more appealing and life-giving, drawing thousands of HOLD members every year.
The Mission Express is the HOLD mission volunteer program to promote the missionary spirit among the leaders in order to realize its vision. HOLD leaders have travelled not only in the Philippines but to other countries in all continents, including Africa at their own expense to spread the word of God to women all over the world.
HOLD is fully immersed in bulding the Church of the Poor through ANCOP and the Social Ministries. The HOLD Adopt a Scholar Program to support the education of poor children of HOLD members and the Ang Ganda Mo (environment advocacy) are the most visible programs in this area.
Membership of HOLD in the Coops for Christ have provided many members with social security and opportunity to practice financial stewardship through savings.
