Couples for Christ Nagaland, India observed its 8th Anniversary, and the 6th anniversary of the Family Ministries with the theme “Heal the world for Christ” on September 10, 2022 at Bishop Abraham Memorial Auditorium, Don Bosco School, Chiephobozou in Kohima District.
All the members came together from different districts, counting to approximately 160 CFC members and around 60 guests who were non-CFC. Since the members belong to different far away districts, with Nagaland mainly a mountainous state in northeast India, gatherings such as this can be impossible sometimes. But thanks to annual celebrations like the anniversary, the members have the chance to connect with each other and celebrate in unity and understanding, making relationships among CFC brethren flourish.
The anniversary also became a gateway for evangelization as it showcased the cultural folk songs and traditional values of CFC Nagaland.
The anniversary was truly a Spirit-filled and joyful experience with CFC and their families. The Holy Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Patrick Nikhalo, Spiritual Director, and Rev. Fr. John Kavas, Parish Priest, St. Dominic Savio Church, Chiephobozou. During the Mass, Rev. Fr. Patrick Nikhalo gave his anniversary greetings.
CFC leaders Neipe Sylvester, Household Head CFC Nagaland; Medo-o Matthew, Cluster Head, CFC Nagaland; and Sarhünyi John, Unit Head CFC Nagaland likewise served in during the Mass.
During the cultural program, Kehouletuo Alexander, Chapter Head CFC Nagaland, led the praise and worship with CFC Rüsoma. Mengukhrietuo Marcus, Evangelization and Missions Head, CFC India & State Coordinator of the Diocese of Kohima followed with the Welcome Address, while Rev. Fr. John Kavas gave a short exhortation. CFC leaders Kehouletuo Alexander, Chapter Head CFC Nagaland; Buni Dominic, Chapter Head CFC Nagaland; Zasi Stany Rume, ANCOP Head of CFC India and Chapter Head CFC Nagaland; Petekhriezo Francis, Assistant State Coordinator and Couple Coordinator CFC – SFC Nagaland, also shared their inspiring personal testimonies.
Special numbers were presented by CFC Rüsoma, CFC Thenyizumi, CFC Razeba, CFC Lazami, Zapusatuo Xavier and CFC Chiephobozou. After all the presentations, Medo-o Matthew, Cluster Head CFC Nagaland expressed his gratitude to God, and to all who joined the celebration for this wonderful milestone. To cap the festivities, Petekhriezo Francis, Assitant State Coordinator and Couple Coordinator CFC – SFC Nagaland, led the congregation to a moving praise fest.
