The recognition was ad experimentum, or an experimental basis for five years, at the end of which the Vatican would once again evaluate CFC and decide if the recognition ought to be permanent.
On April 25, 2005, by decree Prot. N. 470/00/S-61B/91 , the Pontifical Council of the Laity recognized Couples for Christ as an international private association of the faithful and approved its statutes.

Theme of the Year
“In the One, we are one!”
The anchor verse of our 2026 theme is 1 John 1:3-4 (Good News Translation):
“What we have seen and heard we announce to you also, so that you will join with us in the fellowship that we have with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. We write this in order that our joy may be complete.”
May our walk with the Lord, and with one another, bring us and our families lasting joy!
