Districts of Iloilo City
Iloilo City is divided into seven geographical and administrative districts
- City Proper: The commercial, political, and historical downtown hub.
- Jaro: A large district known for its grand cathedral and heritage mansions.
- Molo: Famous for the historic Molo Church and local food heritage (panc molo).
- Mandurriao: The modern financial, lifestyle, and business process outsourcing (BPO) hub, home to Iloilo Business Park.
- La Paz: Known as the birthplace of the famous soup dish, La Paz Batchoy.
- Arevalo (Villa Arevalo): The oldest district, famous for shell craft, fire-dancing heritage, and lechon.
- Lapuz: Formerly part of La Paz, it became an independent district in 2008 and houses the main domestic port facilities.
