There are moments in life when God encounters us in a way that is deeply personal and undeniably intentional—moments where we simply know it could only be Him. The Singles for Christ ICON Indonesia (SFC ICON Indo) was one of those sacred experiences.
Over the course of three days, participants were led into a profound encounter with God through sessions, homilies, and meaningful conversations. Each moment felt like a gentle whisper—familiar, loving, and deeply personal—reminding everyone present of God’s nearness and desire for relationship.
Day 1: Made Holy
The event opened with a powerful reminder that we are made holy. Despite some participants missing parts of the opening Mass due to logistical circumstances, the message remained clear: living a full Catholic life means offering our whole selves to God. The first session emphasized that holiness is not distant or unattainable; rather, it is rooted in truth, goodness, and beauty—qualities already placed within us because we are created in God’s image. Participants were invited to recognize that holiness is not about becoming someone else, but about becoming who God created them to be.
A reflective activity further deepened this realization, as attendees were asked to imagine Jesus personally meeting them, inviting an honest and intimate conversation. It was a moment that highlighted the personal nature of God’s love—one that sees, knows, and listens.
Day 2: Made Whole and Made Full
The second day centered on wholeness and fullness. Participants were reminded that they are already loved—not for who they will become, but for who they are now. In a world that often conditions people to prove their worth, this message stood as a powerful affirmation: “You are already enough. You are already Mine.”
Talks on wholeness addressed both affirmation and correction, acknowledging the reality of human struggles while emphasizing God’s healing grace. Attendees were encouraged to embrace their capacity to love, give, and receive as strengths rather than weaknesses. The sessions also highlighted that even in seasons of waiting, individuals are called to live fully and love intentionally.
Another key message of the day was the “call to fullness”—to extend the table. Participants were challenged to create spaces where others feel seen, welcomed, and loved, recognizing that God’s blessings are meant to be shared with others.
Day 3: Made Complete
The final day brought the journey to its culmination with the theme of completeness. Participants came to understand that being made complete does not mean having a perfect life free from struggles or questions. Instead, it means allowing God to be present in every aspect of life. From this understanding flows true and lasting joy.
The event ultimately served as a reminder of God’s constant pursuit—His unwavering invitation to return, remain, and be made complete in His love. Even in moments of doubt, distance, or resistance, His call remains the same.
A Spirit-Filled Encounter
SFC ICON Indo was made possible by the dedication of the service team, leaders, and volunteers who faithfully said “yes” to God’s call. Their efforts created an environment where the Holy Spirit could move freely, transforming the gathering into more than just an event—it became a genuine encounter with Christ.
As participants left the conference, they carried with them a renewed commitment: to show up, remain in God, trust His plans, and love more deeply.
Indeed, in Him, we are already made complete.
